The offices building "il campanile" is located in an urban context that doesn't recall the typical Italian historical city. San DonĂ di Piave, destroyed during the second war, has been reconstructed according to nineteenth-century urban scheme with passages and covered galleries. The project links with the existing net of galleries and connects two commercial spaces by creating a new covered passage. The ground floor is dedicated to commercial activities made more visible through the inclination of the retail walls.
The space between the gallery and the retail area form a small covered "piazza", a social space for the citizens that links the building with the existing square. To improve the environmental efficiency of the design, the openings vary in width according to orientation of each faade.
