  • The project represents a contemporary, intelligent and economically well-balanced way to build in Dubai. The concept is characterized by a simple plan with access to the townhouses trough an internal common space. This common space is a walk with different width so that it composes three patios with water basin as in the traditional Arabian architecture. Upon that walk there is a bower and a waterway to refresh the temperature, as in the traditional spaces of the tree-lined boulevard.

  • The friendship with the climate and with natural elements: lights, shadows, birds song, natural air circulation, the sun, the green, the refreshing water, are not only wonderful or symbolical elements, but an integral part of the architectural project. To exploit the above natural resources we designed ventilated walls to cool structures during the night, to contrast sun irradiation during the day and to stagger the thermal peak.

  • This will permit the use of high comfort and low power consumption systems inside (radiant air conditioning with control of the humidity) cooling by the water of swimming pools. Air heat is transferred to water under the form of latent heat to produce evaporation. As a result both the air will be cooled and the humidity will rise giving a better comfort.

  • The natural ventilation uses the stack effect that is temperature induced. This principle is especially effective arranged together with an underground heat exchanger that utilizes the earth near constant subterranean temperature to cool air for residential uses. It is a viable and economical alternative to conventional cooling systems since there are no compressors or burners and only blowers are required to move the air.

  • The new technological skills for the creation of green walls are proving a new concept of outer coating. The system not only allows the use of more interesting plants, but it is a real way to control the microclimate: the inner space is protected from heat not only through the thickness of the green but also by the transpiration process.

  • Outer spaces are provided by a better comfort due to its characteristics to absorb up to 70% of the dust and to reduce outer temperature up to 5¡c owing to the shadow and transpiration of plants
